It’s past midnight, so it’s Monday morning. Got to get to sleep, so I can wake up. That’s the natural order of things, to be sure, and I’m only telling you to fill a few lines. Get you in the mood. Get you reading some here.
First post. Well, first post in the new blog. Not “new,” just a new interface. New for me, because my laziness has compromised by blogging at all. So I set up WordPress, and there you go. The old stuff is still archived, and as soon as I figure out how to insert hyperlinks, I’ll show you where. Actually, just go back to www.bukkhead.com and there it all is. All the old stuff.
This might work out well. Honestly, it has been in part motivated by a thing I have been doing recently. Friend of a friend needed someone to write a few film reviews for her newspaper in Newport, RI. And I got into it, and now I want to do more. Build up a portfolio, sorta, and get more work. So I was thinkin’ these blogger helpers, The WordPresses and such, they let you categorize things for you, right? And they archive automatically, right? Nice.
Cause you shouldn’t buy chicken in a fish restaurant, I always say. (No, really, I always say that). So it was time for me to decide, am I an HTML guy, or a writer guy? No contest. Not that I am so brilliant at writing. But compared to web design, I’m a frickin genius. I’m a regular Bill Shakespeare, over here.
Aight, enough. It is after midnight. Got stuff to do tomorrow, including apologizing to my girlfriend, easily the best thing that ever happened to me, and I’d be a damn fool to mess that one up. So sleep for me, and more tomorrow.
